We are recruiting for a City Dispatcher for our client, a fast-paced and growing transportation company in Woodstock. The ideal candidate will be dedicated and flexible, having strong computer skills and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Please note the location is not transit accessible and candidates would need their own vehicle to reach the site daily.

• Shift timing: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (must be flexible to work hours after 5pm or weekends on rotation)

Responsibilities
As a City Dispatcher, you will:

• Book loading and delivery appointments
• Dispatch city trucks using in-house transport software
• Communicate effectively with load planners, warehouse staff and drivers over the phone, email and satellite
• Work efficiently with the Maintenance Department to schedule truck maintenance for all company units
• Assist in coordinating driver time off requests
• Update driver ETA’s and PTA’s
• Communicate effectively with in-house Customs Department

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and with a team
• Strong problem solving / analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 3 years dispatch experience
• Strong MS Office skills (including MS Teams) with an ability to quickly learn new software
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
