Camp Maintenance

Falcon Camp Services is looking to hire an individual to fill the position of Camp Maintenance. The incumbent will perform daily routine and preventative maintenance on camp infrastructure and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for daily inspections, and repair requests to meet contract service levels regarding: machinery, appliances, equipment, physical structures, power, piping systems, as well as water and wastewater systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety, the Environment Legislation, standards, policies, procedures and practices are followed.
• Conduct regular building inspections and perform repairs as required in a timely manner.
• Manage and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Able to offer references for preventative maintenance and capital repairs.
• Maintain documentation as required for audit compliance.
• In conjunction with the Camp Manager, assist in the development of a financial plan for the maintenance requirements of the property(s).
• Respond to service requests from Camp Manager, perform related tasks and the required follow-up.
• Escort and supervise various contractors on a day to day basis.
• Always maintain a clean work space.
• Perform various custodial duties as needed.

• Overhead lifting, climbing ladders or stairs while wearing safety equipment
• Efficient conflict management skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Must be dedicated to exceptional external and internal client service.
• Must be neat, professional, and well-groomed.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity of both hands and feet to perform activities such as Able to crawl underneath buildings, or work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferably working in a remote camp, hotel or building services environment.
• Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test required
• A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, & Confined Space is an asset.
• Petroleum Safety Training or Constructing Safety Training System.
• OFA Level I Certification is an asset.
• Holds a valid trade specific Certificate.
