ITWAL Limited, with its coast-to-coast network of independent, diversified retail and foodservice wholesale distributors, provides Suppliers with a competitive alternative to large vertically integrated retail/wholesale grocery chains and broadline foodservice distributors. ITWAL Members deliver a full range of products to support independent business operators of all sizes, including retail convenience stores, drug stores, independent grocers or foodservice restaurants, institutions, and other end-users. ITWAL is looking to hire aBuyer. Reporting to the Director Procurement, this position will focus on inventory replenishment of various retail and foodservice products to maximize member order fill rates and mitigate aged inventory.

The successful candidate’s primary duties will include:

• Replenish inventory in warehouse by following a prescribed method and ensuring product delivery dates are coordinated with ITWAL warehouse

• Collaborate with supplier representatives on inventory replenishment and aged inventory clear outs

• Monitor and track daily fill rates of key suppliers to reduce out of stock issues to members

• Communicate with receiving department to coordinate timely pick-up and delivery of orders

• Follow up with suppliers on shortages and ensure supplier letters received to post in weekly warehouse notes

• Attend and participate in quarterly supplier reviews

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field

• 5+ years of purchasing experience with focus on supply chain complexity through interactions with strategic suppliers

• Intermediate skills with Excel

• Experience in inventory replenishment for high mix products in distribution environment.

• Experience in handling customer complaints and escalations

• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail, driving efficiency, productivity, and personal accountability.

• Demonstrated innovative mindset to ensure accuracy and seek out latest industry trends
