On behalf of our client, we are searching for a Buyer for a position near Niagara Falls, ON.

Salary: Up to $70K

Responsibilities:

• Continuously source & develop supply alternatives to reduce costs while maintaining schedule requirements
• Monitor and evaluate market trends, material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Interface with all departments to prioritize required materials
• Be accountable and responsible for creating and analyzing requests for quotations and processing purchase orders
• Research, source and procure materials and equipment required for projects and service work
• Communicate with internal departments concerning vendor performance, pricing issues, delivery issues and any other pertinent information that requires cross-functional strategies within the supply chain
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships to supply purchased goods which meet quality standards

Qualifications:

• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
• MS-Office
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree
• 3+ years of Procurement or Purchasing experience in Contracting or Wholesale
