Job Description

Job Summary:

Navblue is looking for an Entrepreneur with a well rounded aviation background to join the Business Growth team, as Business Value Owner. We are seeking an individual who is passionate, collaborative and articulate, who can envision the needs of the industry, and deliver best-in-class products to the market.


The Business Growth team is part of the Portfolio Growth team in the NAVBLUE organization. Portfolio Growth organization is in charge of defining, prioritizing and delivering a portfolio of solutions that fit market expectations. The Business Growth team is the first brick in the analysis of opportunities to grow the NAVBLUE Portfolio.


The Business Value Owner is responsible of:

  • Defining What in terms of business value (per market segment, persona) is aligned with NAVBLUE strategic themes
  • Specifying Why in terms of revenue increase, market share boost, opportunities in cross-selling or upselling current products



Main Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities in Business growth inside and outside the NAVBLUE organization that is aligned with the NAVBLUE strategic themes


Study Business Growth opportunities by

  • Defining the Business Value delivered to market and subsequent ROI in collaboration with the other NAVBLUE functions (Enterprise architecture, marketing, solutions)
  • Review existing market share to identify growth opportunities and evaluate the growth strategy
  • Defining targeted Customer segments
  • Establish conceptual release plans (internally and towards the customers)


Play an active role in the Safe methodology to secure the Business Value of the products’ development by

  • Liaise with RTE, Product Manager and APMO
  • Ownership, construction and management of EPICs as “SAFe Business Owner” role.
  • Participate in the PI (Program Increment) planning, supporting Product Management in achieving Epic Value Goals


Act as a project leader for “innovation” long-term projects

  • Own Portfolio/Product roadmaps, strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders to build, define and refine
  • Continuously analyze active projects to identify opportunities for growth and added value
  • Manage internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Innovation and Strategy to capture internal ideas and new solutions
  • Evaluate existing business partnerships, and review Make or Buy strategy
  • Coordinate the team of architects, UI/UX and developers



Education:

  • Post graduate certification or degree - Preferred
  • Engineering degree or Bachelor degree in aeronautics or related field



Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in Aviation or Aeronautical Technology field
  • Preferred to have a strong understanding of Airbus organization
  • Experience with sustainability in the airline ecosystem (aircraft, operations, ATM)
  • Preferred to have working experience within the Airbus domain
  • Strong Understanding of Global Flight Operations Domain
  • 5-10 years Airline Operations experience is Preferred
  • Experience with EFB (Electronic Flight Bag)
  • Working knowledge of Airbus Corporate Values and Goals
  • Experience in either Flight Ops engineering / OCC or Onboard Systems



Licensure/Certifications:

  • Any Airline License or Certificate is a plus (Dispatch, Performance, Flight Crew, etc)



Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:

  • Ability to drive Objectives and KPI through
  • Strong understanding of SAFe / Agile Software Development
  • Experience with current Airline Software (User, Administrator, Developer)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of the customer workflow/experience



Communication Skills:

  • Ability to create, mature, and communicate a business case capturing Industry Value and Corporate KPI
  • Ability to convey complex ideas and requirements in a simple manner
  • Ability to capture and hold the attention of stakeholders or customers
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly under pressure



Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Existing Airline Software
  • Emphasis on Slide Preparation and Presentation ability
  • MS WORD or G-SUITE, e-mail



Travel Required:

  • 25 % Domestic and International
