Story Behind the Need

Business group: Global Cash Management

The team focuses on ensuring sufficient cash is present in various accounts and they manage borrowing and lending of money to other stakeholders.

This position oversees various aspects of intraday liquidity management including cash position forecasting and the CAD End-of-Day Settlement Balance Management.

Candidate Value Proposition:

-The successful candidate will have exposure to treasury, cash liquidity, and intra-day management.

Typical Day in Role:

1.Maintain the operations of the CAD cash position forecasts, CAD Settlement Balance management, the intraday stress testing, the CAD Cash Gap reports, and Collateral Management.

2.Maintain collaborative relationship with Accounts managers/Relationship managers to ensure GCM is included in all advance notifications of large transactions.

3.Maintain collaborative relationship with CAD short term funding desk to build CAD cash strategy

4.Work with RMIT to resolve pending issues related to Global Cash Management System (GCMS).

5.Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

6.Lead projects to enhance existing processes or procedures.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 8+ years of experience in Banking (Data Analysis, Business Analyst, Treasury, Capital Markets)

2) Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word)

3) Experience in Cash Management

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Experience or understanding in Treasury

2) Power BI (ability to create dashboards)

3)Project Management experience

• Detail oriented, data focused and ability to distill information for senior leaders

• Able to strategic influence team members to work for a common goal

• Ability to apply analytical skills in a highly dynamic environment

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.

Best vs. Average Candidate

• The best candidate would have solid experience in banking and have worked on longer contracts rather than short-term durations. The best candidate would be able to work well with large amounts of data.
