Building Envelope Commissioning Manager

JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Building Envelope Commissioning Manager to provide reliable, timely, efficient support to our Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team. The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external Stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the individual will require the independent judgement to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. This successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational skills, and a team player attitude.
Responsibilities:
Lead building envelope commissioning activities on projects across Canada in accordance with LEED/CSA/NIBS/ASTM/AAMA standards and guidelines.
Monitor, review, and execute all facets of building envelope commissioning projects by providing exceptional technical and field activity expertise. In addition, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong management and technical functions throughout the design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases of projects.
Liaise with team members, consultants, and contractors to execute commissioning activities.
The candidate will protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirements.
The candidate will support, front to back, all of the building envelope commissioning project documentation requirements. The intent is to be accountable for the preparation, review, and issuance of same.
The candidate will be required to travel to project sites primarily in Ontario, however some travel will be required to other provinces depending on project needs.
The candidate will be responsible to carry out building envelope commissioning activities, including:
Building Envelope design reviews
Commissioning Plan development
Commissioning Specification development
Shop drawing reviews for building envelope components
Site visits to review contractor progress, mock-ups, and third-party test execution
Installation verification checklist development
Building envelope test scripts development in accordance with applicable industry standards. Manage, direct, and witness execution of the same.
Chair Commissioning Meetings, and attend additional project meetings on an as-needed basis
Effectively communicate the status of building envelope commissioning with the project team
Develop, track, and resolve issues using an Issues Log
Assemble building envelope commissioning documentation for the Final Commissioning Report
The candidate will also assist in conducting Building Condition Assessments and Joint Technical Reviews, with a focus on building envelope elements.

Qualifications
Experience leading building envelope commissioning activities in accordance with LEED/CSA/NIBS/ASTMNIBS standards and guidelines
A recognized university degree. Engineering or Building Science Degree is preferred
Any (or combination) of commissioning or LEED accreditations is considered an asset
P.Eng/PE or PMP designation is considered an asset
Certified Thermographer is considered an asset
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Strong data management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel
Experience working in a consultancy or owner organization is an asset
Ability to manage competing priorities
