Building Managers must have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. To become a Building Manager, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in building management or a related field. You may also need to obtain certifications or licenses depending on the type of building you are managing. Building Manager skills include knowledge of building codes and regulations, budgeting and financial management, and customer service. They must also have strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and handle tenant issues. Building Managers must also have knowledge of building maintenance and repair, as well as safety and security protocols.
