About the role:

 

Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our team in Hamilton in a Customer Support role. You will be supporting our brokers and working directly with our Bloodstock clients. You will have exceptional attention to detail and communication skills to provide both administrative support to Brokers and assistance regarding account, cover and policy queries to clients. This role would ideally suit anyone with a passion for horses and looking to establish a new career pathway within the bloodstock insurance industry.

 

This role will provide great opportunities to learn from supporting our brokers and is a great stepping stone into a broking role.

 

While you will need to be NZQA level 5 qualified with a Certificate in Financial Services we don’t expect you to bring this to the table. For the right candidate we will pay for and provide you with the support to gain your qualification through our study support program.

  • Assist the Broker with the collection of premiums within the required timeframe
  • Assist the Broker with administration to ensure client requirements are met and policies are renewed on time
  • Process alterations, endorsements and set up new policies and finance agreements
  • Prepare and dispatch renewal letters (including declarations, rating charts/underwriter placing’s) after consultation with the Broker
  • Prepare underwriter submissions and client reports for new business
  • Provide support to the client when the Broker is unavailable
  • Resolve client queries (account and cover queries and policy amendments)

Skills and Experience

  • Desirable - A certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5).
  • The ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with clients and team members
  • Experience in a customer service role would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised and efficient with a strong attention to detail
  • Competent/advanced user of Microsoft Office
  • Experience or interest in the Equine Industry would be ideal but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
