We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist to join our team. As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for recording and managing all financial transactions of the business, while also overseeing the accounts receivable and payable functions. You will be reporting directly to the CEO and Founder.
Responsibilities
- Recording and managing all financial transactions of the group of businesses and any subsidiaries, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Training and collaboration with other team members to follow proper bookkeeping guidelines and ensure that the team adheres to these standards
- Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with the tech team to connect QuickBooks Online (QBO) to various online platforms and set up the necessary connections to ensure that all transactions match up accurately
- Managing accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and issuing payments.
- Maintaining accurate and organized financial records that are easily accessible when needed.
- Improve any processes required to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping (New software, tools, platforms, and policies)
- Maintain 4 separate Quickbooks online instances and bank accounts for the various divisions.
- Calculate the sales team’s monthly commissions based on invoiced orders.
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Managing accounts receivable by creating invoices, monitoring payment due dates, and following up with customers on overdue payments.
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts and ensuring that records are accurate and up to date.
Requirements
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in Quickbooks Online (Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certification is a strong asset)
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounts receivable/payable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
