About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Patient Access and Flow, the Bed Allocator performs a variety of clerical duties essential to ensure efficient patient flow in the Care Coordination Center (C3). This position also performs all admitting duties including bed allocation in collaboration with the Patient Flow Managers and where appropriate clinic follow-up appointments. The Bed Allocator must be able to accurately perform their duties in an emotionally charged, high-pressure, high-volume workplace. The incumbent will support the admission, discharge, and transfer process.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Grade 12 plus one year medical office assistant program plus one year experience or two years relevant working experience
  • Excellent data entry skills and proficiency with computers
  • Experience using STAR and PHS preferred
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills
  • A skills test will be included as part of the selection process
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time (100%), 70 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shifts will include days, evenings, and weekends.
Compensation and Incentives
$20.25 - $22.50 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
