Associate - Securities Lending Operations

In this role, you will:
● Join the Operations team, and work directly with our Manager, Securities Lending Operations and other Operations Associates to execute on daily securities lending processes.
● Assists in maintaining positioning by booking returns from street side counterparties, and provides support through the loan recall process
● Work to ensure timely loan and return settlement, and resolve related issues
● Collaborate with traders, product managers, engineering and other operations teams
● Interact with counterparties via email on on calls to execute on loans and recalls
● Support billing and month end processes
● Be able to represent Wealthsimple with external parties (counterparties) and build
relationships within industry
● Support the development of operational procedures as we build out our Options business
● Support the treasury team with cash movements, including billing
● Support the onboarding of new counterparties

We're looking for people who:
● Have 3+ years experience working at a broker-dealer
● Are capable of operating within tight deadlines and possess good business judgment. You can
multitask, and manage your time well.
● Have a finance, accounting, business or similarly technical background
● Are passionate about technology, specifically fintech.
● Are organized with a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working on multiple
priorities with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
● Have strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude
● Are naturally curious: if something seems o, you want to figure out what’s going on.
● Strong communication skills; you’ll be working with front oce (trading) and external counterparties
● Interested in learning about the Securities Lending business
