As Assistant Treasurer, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Treasury Manager with cash management and supporting the currency hedge desk to manage grain business risks.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Provide support and backup to the foreign exchange hedge desk as required
• Maintaining Cash Balances for multiple accounts and divisions
• Prepare daily cash flow analysis and projections
• Managing bank borrowings
• Flexible working hours may be required
• Prepare monthly journal entries related to FX and analyze impacts to P&L statements
• Identify and disseminate risk exposures within grain related cash flows and positions
• Analysis of financial information, including interest and working capital
• Work on risk management projects as required

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Accounting designation and/or relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to the team
• Grain accounting experience would be an asset
• Experience or background in the grain and/or treasury industries would be an asset
• Strong attention to detail
