Assistant Operator / Labourer Jobs

GFL Environmental is currently hiring Full-time Labourers (Assistant Operators) for our location based out of Napanee, Ontario.
Job Responsibilities:

• Removal & disposal of hazardous waste;
• Secure work area and set up traffic control;
• Remediation of contaminated areas;
• Assist with emergency & spill response;
• Confined space, working at heights.
• Digging holes and trenches;
• Operating equipment and tools;
• Pressure blasting & washing;
• Other duties as required.
• Securing and safely loading/unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies;

Requirements:

• Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met;
• Accept change and be adaptable to different work environments;
• G class drivers’ licence with a clean abstract;
• Strong regard for safety and safe work practices;
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights and Confined Space experience an asset.
• Minimum of two (2) years working and driving experience;
• Professional and positive attitude;
• Being part of an On-call rotation (every 3 weeks);
