Assistant Engineering Manager Jobs

As an Engineering Assistant Manager at CT & Associates Engineering Inc., you will play a pivotal role in supporting our engineering operations and ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will collaborate closely with the Materials Testing Engineering Manager and with the Geotechnical and Environmental teams to drive efficiency, quality, and excellence in all engineering endeavors. Your contributions will help shape the future of our organization and contribute to the advancement of our position within the industry.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in materials testing and geotechnical engineering, in addition to strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead successful engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and preparation of technical reports and memorandum under the supervision of the firm's Responsible Members;
• Provide business development support and systems development that provides improved team efficiency and morale.
• Provide managerial support to field and lab service teams including employee relations, job performance reviews, job satisfaction, timesheet and budget reconciliation, and company resource management;
• Provide technical support on geotechnical, environmental, and roadway projects as required;
• Support the team lead in preparation of budgetary estimates, project tracking, progress invoicing and management of company expenses;
• Support onboarding and provide training to new staff;

Qualifications

• Over five (5) years of industry experience with soil, asphalt, and concrete testing;
• Over ten (10) years of industry experience with earthworks and engineering;
• Experience with practical aspects of field service and project management.
• B.Sc./ C.E.T. in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology as a minimum;
• Familiarity with CCIL certification processes;
• Must have excellent interpersonal abilities as well as strong verbal and written communication;
