Job Description
The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high quality residential care and senior living across our eight homes in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.


THE OPPORTUNITY


We are looking for dedicated and conscientious Assistant Director of Care to join our friendly team at The Oxford Care Center in Abbotsford, B.C. The role could be PT or FT depends on a candidate's choice.


As an Assistant Director of Care you will:


  • Facilitate and promote the interdisciplinary approach within the home through the nursing, dietary, recreation, housekeeping and maintenance departments
  • Provide a high level of leadership supporting care, nursing, dietary, maintenance and housekeeping Staff
  • Provide a high level of clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff
  • Provide an environment to the residents, staff and visitors that is safe, secure, healthy and happy leading to excellence and quality of care


Compensation:


Salary based on years of experience in the industry

Qualifications:


  • Two years nursing experience in Continuing Care Sector (Dementia care and End of Life care would be an advantage)
  • Graduate of a recognized school of nursing and currently registered with BCCNM


Skills and Abilities:


  • Must have a commitment to excellence in Care of the older person in a Continuing Care environment
  • Shows a caring and considerate attitude to residents, visitors and staff
  • Must be committed and an understanding of working with residents with dementia and end of life journeys
  • Must have proven leadership and team-building skills and be able to motivate staff
  • Must possess the personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents
