A global private markets infrastructure fund is looking for an experienced Analyst to join their high caliber Asset Management team. This reputable infrastructure program has established a diversified global portfolio of over 50 assets totalling over $4 billion in AUM. With operations in Europe and the US, the Toronto division is considered the head office for both deal execution and post-acquisition asset management. The Analyst will join the experienced team in Toronto which is comprised of both financial and engineering professionals. They will collaborate on post-acquisition asset management from a financing perspective, as well as support the CFO at the asset fund level with reporting, valuations and ongoing fundraising and investor relations.
This firm specializes in identifying and capitalizing on mid-market, core, and core plus infrastructure opportunities within OECD countries. Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate asset onboardings, drafting investment updates, and communicate findings to senior staff;
- Prepare reports for investors and co-investors
- Develop and operate complex financial models for purposes of managing and reporting on infrastructure projects;
- Post-acquisition investment monitoring and management;
- Assist with special projects as they arise.
- Collaborate on value creation opportunities, such as refinancings, add-on acquisitions and divestitures;
- Support investor relations and fundraising teams, including assisting with responses to current and prospective investor questions; and
- Collaborate on performing investment return sensitivities and performance analysis for project and fund level metrics;
Qualifications
- Performing detailed due diligence.
- Sound business/investment judgement relative to experience.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- 1-3 years of experience at: (i) a top tier corporate finance firm, (ii) private investment fund, or (iii) real assets developer doing project finance
- Desire to work in a close-knit team.
- Experience in financial modeling involving capital intensive projects and/or project financing.
- Exposure to either the infrastructure or real estate sector
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance - a focus on finance, engineering, or business are preferred.
