Note: This posting intends to hire multiple candidates, although candidates with appropriate experience will be considered for more than one course. All of the courses are taught in the evening (adjunct hourly position). Depending upon the course, teaching may be in person or online in the evening.

The Role

• Solicit guest speakers and industry partners to participate in round tables and panels
• Participate in all SAIT training, School and program meetings
• Remain current and maintain contact with industry sectors to assure technology is relevant
• Prepare and deliver lectures to students enrolled in the Healthcare Leadership program
• Provide feedback for continuous program improvement
• Maintain and update curriculum and course outlines as required
• Be an active and engaged member of the School to maintain a “team environment”
• All other duties as required for the position
• Facilitate student achievement and professionalism through mentorship and coaching
• Evaluate student progress through assignments, exams and competencies
• Promote and support SAIT and the School of Health and Public Safety's mission, strategic and academic plans

Qualifications

Must have:

• A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to unexpected and changing conditions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Involvement is scholarly activity/research is an asset
• Previous academic background (including teaching experience) is a must
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment are required
• Positive & respectful attitude
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Minimum 10 years of progressive and diverse hands-on experience in both clinical and/or leadership roles in healthcare
• Minimum of a master’s degree: Ideal candidate will have a Master’s in either Healthcare Management (MHA) or Public Health (MPH). Other Master’s degrees may be considered.
• Comfortable speaking to the public
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Proficiency with technology to facilitate delivery of classroom and lab content through the Learning Management System (Brightspace)
