Accounts Receivable/ Payable Officer

ABM College is currently looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, and exceptionally talented Accounts Receivable/Payable Officer.

Essential Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Secures financial information by completing database backups.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.

Education And Skills Requirements

• A current membership/license with a relevant regulatory body is preferred.
• Proficient with account receivable payable processes.
• Strong organizational skills.
• At least 3 years of work experience in the field.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
• Strong data entry skills.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent and related fields.
• Committed to quality and a thorough approach to the work.
• Results-driven, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Exceptional computer skills.
