Job Description
The Account Manager will promote, sell, increase and preserve GFL Environmental, Inc. solid waste services to businesses and industrial establishments in assigned territory by identifying new market areas, maintaining current customers and developing strategies to outweigh competition. This individual will prepare sales contracts with knowledge of pricing, costs and equipment with input from the Facility/General Manager.


Salary: $80000 - $90000 / year OTE

The Role


We are looking for accomplished, dynamic, experienced Account Manager to represent our company within the PEI market. The designated individual will be responsible for marketing GFL Environmental Inc.’s Waste Services to an existing book of business as well as any potential new customers.


Job Duties


  • Maintaining good working relationships and account management with existing customers and recognizing opportunities to up sell additional services.
  • Keeping abreast of products, market conditions and competitive activities
  • Providing sales strategies, marketing ideas and new concepts, and develop business plans to successfully execute strategies to grow profitable revenue
  • Handling customer service issues.
  • Maintaining a fundamental understanding of appropriate legislation including Ministry of Environment Regulation etc., enabling you to successfully promote regulatory compliance to customers.
  • Executing warm and cold calls within your assigned region effectively
  • Completing contract documentation and assisting the customer with required paperwork.


Requirements


  • College diploma or university degree in Commerce or related technical discipline is preferred
  • Overnight travel as required
  • 2 - 4 years of Account Management/Sales experience required
  • Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Creative problem solving and strong team building skills
  • Basic computer skills. Experience working in a CRM tool such as Sales Force or equivalent.
  • Experience in environmental services would be an asset
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to take initiative, time management skills and display of professionalism
  • Travelling on the road within assigned territory. Vehicle Required
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
