Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements:

Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables.

Assist with generating consolidated multi-currency financial statements, management reports and other financial reports to be used by the executive management team.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX experience, and SEC reporting is considered an asset.

Assist with process improvement and automation across all areas of Accounting/Finance.

Oversee the training and development of finance accounting team, and delegate duties and authority to meet departmental and organizational goals.

Project Management ability and Client Facing role is mandatory.

Knowledge of regulatory reporting of Regimes; experience with North American regulation (CFTC, SEC & Canada) and EMIR/Refit.

Translate regulatory requirements into business requirements and functional specification, manage data extraction, transformation, and loading

6+ years of experience in financial regulatory reporting

Work with Development and QA during testing to ensure implementation meets design and requirements

Bachelor/ Masters in Business Administration/ Technology or related field

Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent excel skills, including familiarity with building models.

Designing and performing monthly processes for financial reporting.

Researching IFRS accounting standards and proposing accounting treatment.

Designing analytics and providing insights into trends and figures.

Coordinate and collaborate regularly with stakeholders across Finance departments and the Investment Management Division on sustainability-related financial reporting requirements.

4 - 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and/or related functions

Salary Range $60K - $68 based on qualifications and experience

oSupport the Accounting Supervisor in the day-to-day activities of the Finance department.

oMonitor program expenditures against budget, contracts, and contribution agreements; provide Program Managers with monthly financial reports.

Experience in FULL-CYCLE Accounting is a must for this role

Responsibility for supporting the month-end close process, including but not limited to, the ME entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L adjustments.

Research, recommend, and implement changes to the reporting process, accounting policy, financial models, chart of accounts, and cost center GL creation.

Post-Secondary Education, either University Degree (specializing in Finance or Accounting) or College Diploma (specializing in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting)

Previous experience preparing or reviewing financial statements

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting or equivalent functions

Prepare the consolidated month and quarterly financial reporting package for the Corix executive management team and Audit Committee.

Design, build and maintain reporting, budgeting, and modelling templates within the Corporate Performance Management system.

Prepare and update monthly presentations, industry survey responses and various key company statistical data for management.

Act as a subject matter expert on Adaptive Insights, and oversee any upgrades, training, system performance management and systems enhancements.

Create both financial and nonfinancial reporting packages as well as presentations for senior management and Audit Committee/Board of Directors.
