2+ years of directly related college level experience working with students and the educational process in service-related roles.

Knowledge of policies and procedures governing student affairs and services within a post-secondary and preferably University environment.

Responsible for management in the three areas of Student Success:

Facilitate, monitor and manage professional development opportunities for the Education Department

Assist in the preparation of the annual school calendar, school parent manual/agenda and strategic planning with the Education Manager and Principal.

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an educational setting

Will establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the Education Department.

Work in close collaboration with the Director of Education and the Education Administrative Team

Managerial or supervisory experience in unionized post-secondary environment is required.

A graduate degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology and/or business.

Specialized training in student success, retention, academic advising, learning skills strategies, and student development theory and programming is required.

Proven innovative program design, implementation and evaluation of post-secondary student success and retention programs, initiatives and services are required.

Experience using a Student Information System or other enterprise database solutions/customer relationship management systems.

Evaluates records management policies and practices and makes recommendations for changes in including evaluating exceptional requests for records

Sound and current knowledge on best practices in enrolment or registrarial services or comparable work experience.

Evaluates and makes recommendations to faculties, program areas and/or Registrar for academic requirement waivers for graduation

Advises and recommends faculties and program areas on curriculum and program requirements for government loan and student awards eligibility

Coaches students towards independence and self-direction and maintains up-to-date knowledge of best practices and current advising theories in the field

Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Social Sciences, Adult Learning, or Education

Minimum three (3) years experience with adult learners with demonstrated ability to improve academic success
