Senior Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Knowledge of the design, fabrication, and installation of heavy mechanical equipment

Design and develop cost-effective turnkey test solutions for production, service and PCBA supplies, based on the requirements set by organization.

Create and periodically update the test requirements and design documentation.

Initiate, manage and if required supervise mechanical engineering project requirements.

Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;

A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.

A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.

Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma with minimum 5 years of hands-on manufacturing / process engineering shop floor experience

Experience in forging, shearing, induction heating, robotics, threading, machining, welding & heat treating is considered a significant advantage

Good working knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solidworks) is an advantage

Proven experience in continuous improvement projects is a must

-Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and Standards including preparation of design calculations

-3-D modeling in AutoDesk Inventor

5+ years of experience in engineering role

Shop floor experience in customer fabrication

Working knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastic molding, welding, coating, customer gasket, and other trades

Strong computer and mathematical skills

Time management skills are necessary to manage the various design projects

Manage, prioritize and complete design projects for various clients

Support the development of project budgets and schedules via experience and the development of material take-offs

12+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in an industrial setting

Good written and verbal communication skills

Minimum of 10 years experience as a mechanical P.Eng working primarily in design roles.

Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, other provinces/states a benefit;

Knowledge of CEMA standards, Building Codes, CSA standards, and ASHRAE standards;

Relevant experience in the design of HVAC, dust collection, material handling and / or pumping and piping systems in Canada;

Project experience in mills, smelters, mines, industrial sites, infrastructure, refinery, ports, material handling, pulp and paper is beneficial

SAP ERP Materials Management Module experience

BS Mechanical Engineering/equivalent degree OR post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering/equivalent

3-5 years of working experience: Mechanical engineering and design of fluid treatment systems experience.

Experience in water treatment Industries

Apply mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic engineering background

Create mechanical Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings, Piping, and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) drawings

Minimum five to eight (5-8) years related experience within an automotive assembly or similar manufacturing industry

Experience in managing assembly line design, build, fabrication, and integration required

Knowledge of stamping and hydroforming processes
