Senior Infrastructure Specialist Jobs in Ontario

In depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience with AWS and Azure is a bonus

University degree/certification in Information Technology or related discipline

3+ years of work experience in the field of information technology

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to find innovative alternatives and/or opportunities

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA+) and strong motivation to stay current are required

Change Control: Manage infrastructure changes through Change Control process. Ensure CMDB and all documentation is updated appropriately.

Experience supporting production networks from WAN to LAN.

Excellent knowledge of network security constructs – authentication, firewalls, segmentation, and VLANs.

Experience in regulated manufacturing and OT systems / IoT systems.

Experience configuring and using network monitoring tools

Certification and training from at least two major network equipment providers: HP/Aruba, Cisco/Meraki, Fortigate, Palo Alto.

Ensure effective change management discipline is used

Experience or certification with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience understanding network security authentication and authorization as it relates to network flows and the delivery of applications and services

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms

Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
