Strong knowledge and experience in the health insurance domain is a must

Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing

Knowledge of business analysis concepts of defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and Agile approach to prioritizing work to epics, sprints

Business Analysis Experience - 8 years

Insurance Claims Industry experience - 8 years

Lean and Six Sigma experience

Experience with the Guidewire suite of products, e.g., Claims Centre

This is a 12 months contract located in Toronto, Ont/ Hybrid, 2 days a week (may change).

Organizational, attention to detail, accuracy required

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements

Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, business requirements, and user stories

Lead conversations with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian Commercial P&C and Canadian Commercial Auto

Strong experience with platform technologies such as Guidewire or Duck Creek

Experience leading conversations with business stakeholders for product development

Manage the collection of business requirements and preparation of functional requirements for development to build.

5+ years experience Finance experience within Insurance

Prepare test cases and plans and execute those test cases in the required timelines, ensuring deliverables conform to business requirements.

10+ years Insurance domain experience

Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with business stakeholders, various technology teams and production support teams.

Research, formulate, and perform data-driven analytics using SQL.

Contract reviews including leases, vendor agreements, loan documents and lender requirements, property management agreements and other documents outlining insurance obligations.

Support in the management of non-deal related insurance policies and documents.

Origami (RMIS) experience is an asset

Review and validate coverage as compared to contractual requirements.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Facilitates discussions and follows a structured approach to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage requirements with stakeholders.

Gathers requirements and documents these requirements for use in various audits, reports, & projects.

Works with project stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis models via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs.

Ensures system specifications meet expectations/requirements, and negotiates solutions.

Maintains existing requirements to ensure that current-state needs are known.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, designation or equivalent.

•7+ years of relevant experience in this role – Preferably with a recognized professional certification.

• Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements.

• Write, update, and maintain Business Requirements Documentation

• Demonstrated business analysis experience

• 8 years related experience, including 5 years managing medium to large projects and special initiatives.
