Proven experience in quality assurance, risk management, or control self-assessment roles, preferably in a managerial capacity.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within specified deadlines.

Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in quality assurance and risk management.

Provide guidance and training to staff members on quality assurance processes, risk management methodologies, and control self-assessment techniques.

Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks, patterns, and root causes, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of quality assurance and risk management initiatives.

·Maintain laboratory equipment/instruments and ensure that inspection measuring, and test equipment consistently meets specified measurement requirements.

·Good Communication Skills (listening, verbal, reading, & written).

·Basic Mathematical Skills; familiarity with the Imperial and Metric System.

$20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience

4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.

Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

Minimum 3 years of direct work experience with QA systems. Regulations. Guidelines, and associates standards.

Direct knowledge of QA methodologies.

Practical experience with product testing.

Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

Experience with ERP systems is an asset.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality control is an asset.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP), and internal quality management systems.

Prior experience working in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality control role.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Proficient in using quality testing equipment and tools, as well as computer applications (e.g., MS Office, data entry software).

Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.

· Previous experience in the food or meat industry is an asset.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications and databases is an asset.

· Issuance and control of data loggers.

· Products are weighted at each pH reading.

· CCP assessment → critical limits are being met.

Work with other teams to improve inspection protocols and capabilities, creating greater efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of inspections.

Understand and apply visual and documentary inspection methods of electronic, optical, mechanical, and measurement techniques.

Draw up any non-compliance reports for communication to suppliers.

Provide assistance to the other functional teams to deploy incoming test protocols and to perform first item inspections.

Diploma in a technical or manufacturing program preferred or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of ISO standards and specifically TS-16949 preferred.

Quality System auditor qualifications preferred.

Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and equipment

Knowledge of statistical sampling methods

Computer skills: email, word, excel, power-point, bar code labelling software preferred.

Ship qualification samples to customers.

Completion of a technical program preferred and/or 3-4 years’ work experience in the food or related industry.

Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, allergens, and food safety.

Experience with allergen testing is considered an asset (example. Gluten)

Experience in commissioning and start-ups considered an asset.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Previous quality control experience using a variety of instrumentation is a strong asset.

Daily data entry of test results into QC Applications software

Gives a daily report of activities to the QC Manager

College Degree in Chemistry or Nature Science and one (1) year of experience in a similar environment

Carries out and interprets tests for the following departments: Quality Control, Production and Technical Services, according to the needs

Does the quality verification and evaluation of the products (raw materials / finished goods)

Communicates various data to the concerned departments

Report as needed on quality checkpoints to project management.

Assist with project compliance with Government standards for records management and information management.

Validate and verify that software meets the intended business and technical requirements, including in an agile, iterative and/or DevOps environment.

Implement operational techniques and activities to fulfill Project requirements for quality.

Plan and execute systematic activities to address compliance activities required by the Project to fulfill requirements.

Implement operational techniques and activities to fulfill Project requirements for Risk identification, analysis, and control.

Advises the Plant Manager regarding the timeliness of the inspection and document preparation that may be required

Conducts capability studies on new processes and systems as set up by the initial sample runs/PAPP requirements

Advises the QA Manager of any non-confirming products, processes or measuring instruments

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Collect samples of food products for microbiological and chemical analysis. Coordinates product evaluations

Experience in a fast-paced working environment where time management, organization and problem solving were key skills.

Degree or diploma in biology, biotechnology, pharmacology or related field (or equivalent working experience).

Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and Cannabis Regulations as asset.

Experience reviewing and revising regulated documents.

Experience working in an ISO:9001 or GMP environment considered an asset.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Document test results and effectively communicate to Quality and Production Managers

Experience with heavy earthworks construction, or experience with geomembrane systems installation;

A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or certification with CCIL as a lab or field technician;
