The Measurement and Analytics business segment develops, manufactures, sells, delivers, and services products and solutions to enable customers from the industrial and energy sectors to increase the efficiency and profitability of their operations. As a quality control technician, you will act with safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products and systems meet the stated requirements. You will apply standards to ensure that good quality is maintained.
You will be involved in the inspection of components received from our suppliers, the management of possible non-conformities. You will work closely with the Quality Assurance group and the Operations teams.
Your responsibilities

• Ensure that data is available in accordance with ABB's quality and operational guidelines.
• Understand and apply visual and documentary inspection methods of electronic, optical, mechanical, and measurement techniques.
• Provide assistance to the other functional teams to deploy incoming test protocols and to perform first item inspections.
• Notify other teams if hazardous situations are observed and work with the local health, safety, and environment (HSE) teams to improve safety systems.
• Draw up any non-compliance reports for communication to suppliers.
• Work with other teams to improve inspection protocols and capabilities, creating greater efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of inspections.

• Hold a DCS or a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking.
• Have a good understanding of written and spoken English (asset).
