Purchasing and Production Coordinator Jobs in Ontario

Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or related field

Minimum of five years work experience in a related field, preferably including procurement experience in a large, complex organization

Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills

Excellent skills in work organization and operating under pressure

Demonstrated ability to expedite the decision-making process using value analysis techniques

Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building, and the ability to initiate and model positive change

Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and construction and infrastructure contract management.

Collaborate closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, increase productivity, and enhance retention.

Establish and manage strategic suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency.

Experience with process improvements, streamlining procurement procedures, and optimizing cost-effectiveness.

Possession of certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, CSCM, or CSCMP would be advantageous.

Experience with mergers and acquisitions is considered an extreme asset.

Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.

Technical/Engineering, Manufacturing (Fuel Cell, Hylyzer) experience a plus

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Ability to provide reporting and data analysis as requested by management

Other duties as assigned by management

Schedules/coordinates shipments for replenishment of inventory requirements

Post-Secondary education is an asset

Experience in Inventory and/or Purchasing Systems (Clarify, GERS)

Good working knowledge and understanding of all warehousing business processes and how they relate to consistently deliver customer satisfaction

Knowledge of project management principles and contract administration;

A defined benefit pension plan (OMERS)

Analyze bids for compliance with requirements of bid documents, perform evaluations and review recommendations for contract awards to ensure compliance;

Manage vendors throughout the procurement process, including responding to complaints, enquiries, and providing debriefs to unsuccessful bidders;

Provide guidance and training to junior procurement staff and support the manager in the delivery of procurement training to town staff;

Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience as a procurement professional preferably for a public procuring entity;

The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Manage and replenish stock and sample inventory

Ensure imported products meet all CFIA requirements

Work with warehouse personnel to manage close to code product

Have minimum 5 years working experience

Knowledge of food importing and inventory control a definite asset

Strong analytical and data management skills

Experience with planning systems and processes (MRP)

Experience with buying products for manufacturing

Able to independently manage and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently

Must possess clear written and verbal communication, creative problem solving and interpersonal

Results driven with a sense of urgency to business needs.

Price list management, including ownership of the general pricelists and assistance in managing customer specific price lists.

Oversight and management of open sales orders. Including follow-up with branch leaders.

Work harmoniously with all other employees and departments and Company management.

Assist in managing assets, including but not limited to vehicles, forklifts, racking, and facilities.

Assist in managing inventory parameters, ensuring the correct levels of the correct products are on the shelves.

Reporting and data analysis with respect to operational performance.

Enter packing slip receipts into our inventory management system.

Experience in custom requirements for shipping & receiving.

Post-secondary Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management
