Maintenance Delivery’s Subject Matter Expert for all Rail Corridor Access Processes including the Network Access Planning Standard and Engineering Access Statements.

Responsible for the development of all Work Block Planning Processes specific to Maintenance Delivery Maintenance and State of Good Repair Activities.

Identifies opportunities to combine work activities of various groups into simultaneous work blocks to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and mitigate disruptions.

Mentor and develop team members in technical knowledge and skills, Principle Based Management® culture and leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, electrical, electronic engineering, or instrumentation Diploma with process controls specialization supplemented by related work experience.

At least three-five (3-5) years of experience in a similar role (DCS, PLC, instrumentation, automation)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience leading a team or supervisory experience.

Experience in business case development and working in a large project work process is considered a strong asset.

Degree or completion of a Management Development and/or NAIT Plastics program is an asset or equivalent work experience.

Collaborate with employees and managers to reduce downtime, maintain efficient use of labour, and achieve objectives set for the plant.

Experience with troubleshooting complex process equipment.

Proven experience in a supervisory capacity and working with manufacturing or extrusion machines or blending operations.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Helping to define process conditions of existing technologies and materials, both commercialized and in-development

Align with the broader R&D teams on desired handover documentation and key information to ensure a seamless and successful handover process.

Utilizes modeling and simulation to deploy validated packaging formats across the network with minimal disruption to operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

General computer literacy skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, SAP, and database applications.

Post-Secondary education, focusing on Chemical Processing or Mechanical Discipline preferred.

Completed education in Operations Management or Engineering field OR Bachelor’s degree or technologist diploma plus relevant experience

Strong people management skills are a must

Supports the team in the implementation and continuous improvement of their respective Daily Management System (DMS) elements

Promote and be responsible for applying sound occupational health and safety management and ensure compliance with Leclerc safety standards

Demonstrated experience with the different “Lean” approaches/tools; Lean certification, considered an asset

Have implemented or participated in the implementation of change management.

A thorough knowledge of Catalyst Selection and Evaluation is required.

Provide support services and troubleshoot any problems that arise with manufacturing.

Assist in improving the quality of products and reducing production costs.

Inspect and review operating activities and determine production schedules.

Perform optimization analysis, forecasts, economic reviews, and evaluations on equipment/projects, operations, and system operating strategies.

Research ways to reduce production costs, develop production goals, and create schedules and plans for individual tasks.

Arrange and facilitate technical knowledge exchange workshops with licensors and Global Manufacturing facilities

Minimum of 15 years of total refinery or petrochemical process units experience (process engineering and operations) is required.

At least 10 years' experience in handling Isomerization plants is required.

Review and monitor Isomerization manufacturing facilities' performance through KPIs

Issue quarterly performance benchmarking reports with analysis and recommendations

Support facilities in implementing recommendations and closing gaps

2 to 4 years’ experience in planning, ship design, shipbuilding or related trade experience.

Supporting the Process Specialist with the development of procedures for Special Process documentation and participating in equipment qualification tasks

Supporting the Process Specialist with production of prototypes and pre-production samples according to cost and schedule requirements

Participating in the selection, installation, and qualification of all new manufacturing equipment (except for product-specific Test Department equipment)

Maintaining product and company reputation by ensuring compliance with government regulations, customer requirements and industry standards

3D CAD and 3D printing experience preferred

Strong analytical problem-solving approach and hands-on experience

Process Control System experience an asset

Computer literate – SAP experience an assset

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Cleaning and transferring grain, milling, and weighing

Control of fermentation and yeasting

Operation of the complete distillation process and producing spirits of proper quality

Create an internal Bill of Materials based on customer drawings, approved components, and customer requirements.

University degree or equivalent in electronics or previous electrical work experience

At least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience either on the production floor or front office
