About Protenergy Natural Foods:
Protenergy Natural Foods Corp. is a rapidly growing and profitable mid-size company specializing in the manufacturing of aseptically packaged natural food and beverage products. Founded in 2004 by industry veterans who recognized an opportunity to bring innovative technologies to the food production industry, the company has a strong track record of growth. Our parent company, Treehouse Foods of Oak Brook, Illinois, is a food manufacturer servicing primarily the retail grocery and food service distribution channels, and is one of the largest private label food manufacturers in the United States.
Our Environment:
Protenergy Natural Foods maintains a 24 hour 7 days per week continental shift rotational environment. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7am to 7:30pm (days) or 7:00pm to 7:30am (nights). We maintain a 2-3 rotation, where in fourteen calendar days you will work a total of seven where every other weekend is a long weekend

Position Summary:
The Process Operator is responsible for overseeing the processing of aseptic filling between the batching, pre-weighing and filling stages. This role will be responsible for operating and ensuring appropriate cleaning and sanitizing of all process equipment and associated work area. The Process Operator will also assist in maintaining and documenting critical process parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete documentation associated with PLC’s and control graphs in a timely manner.
  • Minimize downtime by proactively informing Team Leader or maintenance on any impending downtime or equipment issues.
  • Apply strong comprehension of the filler log and process parameters in order to complete all appropriate documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain responsibility for HACCP documentation.
  • Driven to maximize safety, quality and efficiencies in their direct area of responsibility.
  • Perform conductivity tests and be able to tear down and wash all processing equipment.
  • Thoroughly test equipment and ensure teardowns of pipes, valves and controls are in accordance with preventative maintenance program.
  • Monitor process temperatures and pressures and make minor adjustments to process parameters to ensure product quality and meet FDA/CFIA guidelines.
  • Operate HMI’s and read thermal and other process charts / graphs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • You will have the authority to stop the line at any time if any product does not meet process or quality specifications, after due consultation with the Team Leader.
  • Apply strong knowledge of the aseptic process (batching, sterilization and filling)
  • Be able to operate a forklift or hand jack
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be able to read and understand all process charts and critical parameters.
  • Self-motivated team player and able to work unsupervised
  • 2-3 years manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to run high speed liquid processing equipment which requires PLC controls and computer skills
  • Must work in a safe manner at all times
  • Good written and oral skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Quick thinking and responsive to surroundings, requirements, and domains
  • Ensure that all processes follow set food safety standards
