Power Plant Coordinator I Jobs

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent level of secondary education.

3+ years of recent related experience as a certified journeyman Power System Electrician.

Protection & Control experience is an asset.

Clearance on background check requirements related to ARS CIP.

Developing safe work plans and promoting a safe work environment.

Installing, maintaining and repairing Network apparatus and equipment (e.g., transformers, protectors, Vista control cabinets, etc.).

Responds to associates’ inquiries regarding pay and escalates to Supervisors or Management.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant post-secondary education; Payroll certification or equivalent an asset.

Must be knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health and Safety requirements.

Liaises with vendors to ensure the delivery of parts, services, and equipment per operational requirements.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a definite asset

Three to five years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Good oral and written communication skills required

Must have basic computer skills

Three to five years related experience in fossil fuel power plants, refineries or related fields

Monitors systems and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures

Operates systems, equipment, and components during start-up, run, shutdown and standby mode in accordance with standard operating procedures

Coordinates the ordering of travel, materials, tools, and equipment for assigned projects and authorizes requirements submitted by foremen

5+ years of experience in project coordination and project take offs

3-5 years of experience in estimating and bidding small and large projects

Advanced computer skills MS Office, Google Earth Maps, SharePoint, and AutoCAD.

Experience with Heavy Bid and Primavera.

Knowledge and experience with acceptance testing and commissioning of instrument and controls equipment and systems.

Instrument and control systems knowledge in a Heavy oil processing environment.

Working knowledge of P&IDs, Loop and single line diagrams, Instrument datasheets

Occasional travel and coordination with site operation Preferred Qualifications:

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Operates and performs preventive maintenance on instrument and medical air compressors/driers, receivers, medical vacuum pumps and their respective pipe distribution systems.

Maintains an inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools; evaluates/recommends purchase of same to the Steam and Mechanical Supervisor.

Responds to site emergencies and cooperates with other Departments, Fire, Safety and Security.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal with others effectively.

·Experience with process safety and very familiar with ABSA requirements

·Experience in a sour gas processing facility required.

·Current certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG.
