Part Time Youth Outreach Worker Jobs

Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidential information/records

Experience in tutoring and/or one to one small group instruction, preferred

Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks.

Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom

Bachelor's Degree, required & Valid Texas teaching certificate - $23.00/hour

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Formal training in the area of counselling and behavior management.

Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification (training provided if needed)

Previous experience working with children and youth.

Previous experience in program planning, development, and implementation.

The salary for this position is $19.36 to $21.77 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Supporting children and youth through life skills teaching and in-the-moment learning, with a hands-on approach

Experience with or willingness to be trained on physical holds on the individuals that we serve

Certification or training in Aboriginal Awareness, Abuse Awareness, Standard First Aid, Medication Administration, and Violence/Crisis Intervention is a definite asset

Demonstrated assessment, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation, and conflict management skills, including the demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive written reports.

Schedule 1: Monday to Friday flextime scheduling arrangement, including days and evenings, of 35 working hours per week.

Ensures that the basic needs of children are met, including health and safety

Provides ongoing supervision of all play areas and all activities/routines that occur

Communicates respectfully with parents and ensures that messages are passed on to both parents, and other staff
