What You Will Get To Do

· Develop &/or update Town’s open space & parks planning standards, procedures & guidelines

Manage the preventative maintenance of plant machinery/equipment, including HVAC, parts supply, and office equipment.

Manages contracts/vendors related to grounds, installation, building security, and the internal/external building.

Effectively manage age departmental budget to ensure operating costs are maintained; hours worked, overtime, vendor contracts, and building maintenance and installations.

Manage environmental compliance, and all testing through the support of the third-party contractor.

Associates or bachelor's in engineering with 5 yrs. experience preferred. Will consider relevant experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office products; word, excel, PowerPoint.

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

▪ Demonstrated experience using common hand tools and standard equipment used in maintenance work.

WE ARE HIRING - Maintenance I: Parks, Recreation & Facilities

* Attending regular meetings with Facilities Manager where Facilities Management is a required participant

* All other duties as reasonably directed by management.

* Leaf the delivery and execution of any Facilities-assigned work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager

* Must possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a customer service focus

Our multinational transportation and research client is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

* Assist logistics and simulator lab staff with movement of specialist equipment around the building as directed

Strong time management skills with ability to work independently.

Competent using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role.

Technical skills in modern building maintenance and repair techniques.

Related training, knowledge and understanding in arena refrigeration process, cemeteries, parks, pools, forestry an asset

Experience operating equipment; trucks, tractors with attachments, and front end loaders.

Experience operating power tools and hand tools.

Perform general maintenance and repairs of arenas, libraries, museums, cemeteries, community centres and other municipal administration facilities

Follow generally accepted maintenance and repair standards, administrative policies and practices and the County’s program of preventative maintenance

Over two years’ experience, to become familiar with scope of the position.

To maintain buildings and associated equipment in good repair and in attractive, clean condition for public service

Perform general maintenance and repairs of arenas, libraries, museums, cemeteries, community centres and other municipal administration facilities

Follow generally accepted maintenance and repair standards, administrative policies and practices and the County’s program of preventative maintenance

Provide assistance in the moving, relocation and set up of administrative office equipment and supplies as required by other departments

Assist with the operations of the cemeteries, ensuring compliance with municipal and/or provincial policies, procedures, by-laws

Over two years’ experience, to become familiar with scope of the position.

Arena Operator Level I Certification (asset)

Minimum Grade 12 or its equivalent.

Possess a valid Class 5 Drivers license.

Must be able to use a weed eater for extended periods.

Ability to read and write.

Ability to prepare individual time sheet.
