Facilities Supervisor Jobs

The City of Summerside is looking for a new Facilities Services Supervisor to support our first-rate recreational properties and all that they offer.This position has operational oversight for the state-of-the-art Dome, as well as all outdoor sporting fields and surfaces operated by the city.It is also responsible for coordinating and supervising the provision of light mechanical and custodial services to the Credit Union Place and City Hall. Attention to detail and a systems approach to maintaining the properties in safe and tip-top shape for the benefit of our customers are a daily focus.

Applicants must possess a post secondary diploma or degree in recreation management, hospitality services or another related field. Experience in recruiting and supervising staff in a unionized setting would be considered assets.Knowledge and experience with infrastructure management and oversite would be valuable. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Applicants will possess the ability to successfully navigate and lead in a fast paced, high-energy environment that offers recreational services to city residents, hosts numerous local, provincial, and national sporting events, and acts as a venue for high caliber, world class entertainers, attracting spectators from near and far.

The City provides an attractive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including health, dental, and pension plan. Salary range: $68,000 – $78,000.
