Education Requirements, Skills, and Knowledge

2+ years relevant technical experience is required.

Microsoft 365 or Azure certifications highly desired

Good problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to understand and analyze complex issues

At least 2 years relevant IT experience fully supporting and building customer environments.

Minimum 7 years of ASIC design work experience

Experience with multi-clock domain designs

Design knowledge of data processing, encoder/decoders, arbitration algorithms, protocol designs and display related standards etc.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Good teamwork and interpersonal skills

Proficiency of Verilog or System Verilog

Analyze, diagnose, and efficiently resolve technical issues using available tools such as SMS, remote support utilities, knowledge base, and documentation.

Deliver in-person and remote/video desktop support.

Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to other team members when required.

University Degree or College Diploma in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.

Strong client/end-user computing experience, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices (iPad/iPhone/Android), multifunction devices, etc.

Experience with laptop deployment, and onsite IT Support.

Working as a team (with other technicians and management) to improve customer service, client perception and satisfaction.

Perform proactive remote and on-site tech support to employees for networking, hardware and/or software.

Perform regular backup test restores to ensure backups are being performed properly. Veeam experience is an asset.

3-5 years of experience using SharePoint and providing IT support

Strong knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365

Experience administering Hyper V, an asset

Limited Active Directory rights (Password reset / join to Domain ONLY) *No access to delete from domain. Remote Control Access.

Working knowledge of automated inventory control systems (Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow, Active Directory reports, Virtual Environments) is an asset.

Must possess excellent communication, organization, and administrative skills with a strong customer focus.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor, IT Departmental Support, the successful candidate will:

Assist clients with desktop computer problems as assigned by Supervisor of IT Departmental Support

Responding to questions, assisting clients, taking ownership of problems referred directly or by the IT Service Desk.

Provides information to management and other teams enhance Customer Service success.

Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to continuous improvement.

Post-Secondary education in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering Field having obtained a certificate or degree in said field.

MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Strong communication skills: verbal and written.

Previous customer service and interaction experience.

Must have experience with Corporate sectors, Finance, Accounting and HR.

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming helpdesk requests related to laptops, mobile devices, operating systems, and applications.

Configure and maintain laptops and mobile devices (laptop imagining, software installations, troubleshooting issues)

Troubleshooting user access to the network by resetting passwords, unlocking user accounts, and managing active directory groups.

Clearly document issues and remediation of requests in our service desk software.
