Your Main Responsibilities Will Be

Good technical knowledge of the mining industry (ventilation, planning, design, drilling & blasting, cut-off grade, OPEX, CAPEX, geotechnics);

Assists management and other department personnel to support larger projects (e.g., managing project schedule and status reporting).

• Completion of engineering and hydraulic calculations as required under the guidance of an experienced Project Engineer

• Assist with commissioning and start-up issues employing problem solving skills

• Strong organizational, communication and PC skills are required

Interprets, identifies, and documents the SW and HW requirements, understands and writes test qualification plans and reports

Knowledge of and preferably experience in web application development for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, understanding of TCPI/IP stack

Knowledge of and preferably experience with full-stack web application development in Django Web Development Framework or other, controlling high-power systems

Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness and breadth of knowledge beyond the primary discipline in solving problems

Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of software architectures for IoT Systems using TCP/IP client-server based applications and API's

Comply with Quality system requirements and documentation.

Experience with cell culture and sterile technique (preferred)

Must have some technical report writing experience.

Must have good computer skills with MS office.

CAD experience required; SolidWorks, preferred.

Data analysis, presentation and communication skills required.

Highly developed self-management skills, including time management.

Manage engineering teams in projects and across large studies (PFS, FS etc.) with a project delivery focus.

Support recruitment with appropriate range of skills and expertise to meet job demands and service client needs.

In-depth and relevant experience in multi-discipline minerals processing plants, particularly in gold, base metals, and industrial minerals.

Proven experience leading design teams within a multi-discipline engineering and procurement framework.

Previous experience managing international projects would be an asset.

Computer science discipline: with exceptional data management and script writing abilities demonstrated

Acquire knowledge of the Grade Crossings Regulations and Grade Crossings Standards

Analyze data and validate which parameters are out of compliance with future regulatory requirements

Manage reporting using python, VBA language, Power Automate, or SQL supported BI tools

Assist project manager and engineer-in-training with CP’s reporting requests from internal executives and Transport Canada by data analysis

Knowledge of MS Office products, extremely proficient in Excel and PowerBI

Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills

Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for all roles

Studying to achieve a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining, Civil, Petroleum, Geotechnical, or Geological engineering

Available for an 8-, 12- or 16-month work term beginning in September 2023

Currently enrolled in a University Engineering program and returning to full-time studies after the work term

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work alongside with a team of Hardware, Software and Systems engineers and provide support on various projects;

Attend cross-functional meetings to solve technical issues, tasks and set implementations;

Hands-on lab work to support various electronics product development phases (design, development, testing, prototyping);

Create or update new/existing schematics and documentation;

Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent;

Knowledge of Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers (CompactLogix L3x, ControlLogix L7x, MicroLogix)

Knowledge of Allen-Bradley operator interfaces (PanelView Plus 6 700 et 1000, PanelView Component C400 and C600) Functional English

Program operator interfaces with FactoryTalk View Studio. 

Assist the research and development engineering team with current and future systems documentation. 

S2 or S3 level intern
