Bachelors or Master’s in Electrical Engineering degree with 12+ years of experience in the power electronics or motor control industry.

Knowledge of switch mode power supplies.

Knowledge of electric drive systems.

Excellent customer interaction and support skills.

Work with customers, other Microchip business units, and Product Line Marketing to define new and innovative products.

Create application notes, reference designs, and other material to support customers.

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs.

Generate budgetary proposals, process designs, piping and instrumentation designs, and general arrangement drawings.

Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, order packages, and forecasting.

Demonstrated expertise with the use of AutoCAD and other standard scientific and engineering software and applications.

Ability to work and complete tasks independently, make decisions and take responsibility for technical matters.

Must be able to attend industrial sites and observe all applicable safety regulations.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

3-5 years of relevant work experience

Focus Area: Provide technical support and expertise for the outside sales force, consultants and customers

Focus Area: Prepare product quotations and bids for large mining equipment packages

Bachelors degree; Mechanical Engineering preferred

Member or eligible to become a member of a Professional Engineering Association, having attained or working towards P Eng designation
