Provides support and education to managers on best practice principles in RTW.

Effectively communicates claim decisions to employees and managers and responds to inquiries from key stakeholders.

5 to 7 years of experience working with complex social systems or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Provides consultation, education and information to individuals, families, community, and caregivers about mental wellness.

Communicates regularly with the Mental Health and Wellness Manager- NHA Region, regarding community incidents.

Collaborates with First Nation Health leaders to identify and address gaps, barriers and challenges of service delivery and offer solutions.

Collaborates with Team leader, Mental Health Manager, First Nations Leadership, and Health Leads regarding systemic challenges and barriers.

Ensures client/family/community confidentiality and privacy in accordance with professional regulatory guidelines and following standards of practice and legal requirements.

Knowledge of the principles of recovery in mental illness.

Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse and addiction disorders and treatment.

Knowledge of community resources and their role in client care.

Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to the client population.

Knowledge and understanding of group dynamics and processes.

• Knowledge of community resources and services relating to mental health and wellness services

• Intermediate to master level skills in Microsoft and Google Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Ability to provide effective case management with experience in both individual and group counselling.

Experience building partnerships and collaborating with First Nation Government and/or other community partners in a social service setting.

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field

Ability to provide effective case management with experience in both individual and group counselling
