Design experience with numerous central plant systems including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems

Extensive code knowledge including but not limited to: OBC, ASHRAE standards, CSA standards, ASPE standards

Strong desire to work within a team and develop the skills of the team

Review and stamp mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes

Direct design strategies/concepts on complex projects

5+ years of Project Management experience within the mechanical construction industry.

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements

Manage the development of design-build solutions to solve specific customer challenges or operational requirements.

Collaborate with the Director of Operations for planning, strategy and management of projects.

College Diploma or Certificate in Construction Technology/Construction Project Management.

Manage field labour capacity through the master schedule to ensure no excess of overhead.

- Demonstrate superior management skills including planning, organizing and leading

- Experience in providing management and technical guidance for estimators and project coordinators

- Excellent scheduling capability and time management skills

-Superior knowledge of mechanical installations specifically boilers and chillers OR HVACR Units.

- Superior organizational skills, including analysis, accuracy and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Manage medium size projects while helping other Sr. staff on their project

Maintain project documents and manage project draws and invoices

Support project manager and other departments and perform project documentation

Manage project change orders; from pricing to processing & planning the workflow, and assessing cost and schedule impact

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; to present information to stakeholders at various levels

• Data collection from the Site and client team.

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanical P.Eng. / P.Tech., and 5 years' total mechanical engineering consulting experience is a requirement

Project management or operational experience is an asset.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirementse

10+ years of related work experience.

Good understanding of mining and processing equipment. Experience with sizing, selection, engineering, construction and commissioning of relevant mechanical systems.

Experience with mechanical engineering aspects of projects of varying scope and complexity from planning to commissioning stages.

Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate and timely financial reports to the executive management team.

Proven track record of at least 8-10 years of experience in project management within the mechanical construction industry.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of Project Managers effectively.

Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Provide strategic direction and oversight to Project Managers, guiding them in project planning, execution, and delivery.

Demonstrated experience in project management

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related education and experience

PMP or equivalent project management training is considered an asset

You will translate customer preferences into project/product requirements to use in design scoping

You will manage critical vendors involve in the projects, including contract negotiation and review

Demonstrated experience in managing multiple customers and coordination of multiple projects
