Demonstrated experience using AutoDesk Revit.

Proficient in Solidworks and the development of detailed engineering drawings, designing for manufacturing, and cost optimization.

Manage and supervise a team of 5-6 Mechanical Designers.

Create and manage department standards, policy, core, processes, and SOP’s.

Create and manage a real time design department schedule. That estimates, tracks, and delivers on time drawing packages.

Manages costs of design team department to make sure budgets are maintained.

Create and manage a system for design department timecard/engineering costing tracking system.

Create a library / drawing catalog and accurately manages all drawing files using PDM software

·Ensure compliance to industry standards and regulatory requirements for electronic products (CSA, EMC, IEC, etc.).

Your Qualifications – Who You Are:

·Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in relevant industry in product design.

·Engineering fundamentals and skills: design process, statics, thermal, strength of materials, materials selection, tolerancing, DFX, FEA.

·Experience in aesthetic and industrial design, free-form surface modeling – an asset.

Honeywell product and application knowledge, computerized engineering tools, PC based office productivity packages, and project management experience.

Bachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

5+ Years Mechanical engineering experience including design and engineering in an advanced technology and/or manufacturing environment.

Experience with Autodesk 3D/2D or similar tools

Previous experience designing custom engineered solutions for industrial environments.

Experience in advanced engineering tools.

Experience with simulation tools (FE analysis, etc.)

Knowledge of steel materials and welding a strong asset

Knowledge of mobile hydraulics and electrical systems is a strong asset

Wage negotiated depending on relevant experience.

Design the Rebel brand of tree processor attachments during its full life cycle from concept to continual improvement.

Build conceptual and pre-production 3D models, manufacturing drawings with technical instructions.

Significant experience in multi-part mechanical design and fabrication.

Building condition assessment/depreciation report/reserve fund study experience would be an asset

Maintain excellent client service through project delivery, ensuring strong communication with clients, and acting on client feedback

Proactively identify and work with the Sector Director to secure business opportunities with new and/or existing clients
