Manages and delivers the Region’s Vision Zero Program

Defines business requirements for new information technology and software enhancements.

Five (5) years of job related experience at a leadership level

10+ years of progressive responsibilities in the areas of transportation, logistics or distribution in a management role.

Acts as the national business process owner for the Transportation Management System and other technologies related to Transportation.

Fosters a cohesive team unit and manages talent pipeline to enable organizational capabilities.

Interacts with senior management on matters specific to scope of responsibility.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (operations, logistics, supply chain) or Engineering (industrial) or related field is required.

Manages regional transportation activities through first level of senior managers and specialist individual contributors.

Participate in project-related and ad hoc tasks in particular in connection with (CI) projects and tenders and capacity management

Experience in transportation and/or logistics and/or supply chain continuous improvement functions

Sound analytical and presentation skills to detail and substantiate process deviations and identified opportunities

Knowledge of third-party logistics or logistics service provider operations

Monitor, verify, update, analyze and report on our company’s transportation KPIs and introduce corrective actions to continuously improve our transportation operations

Coordinate logistics service providers (LSPs) to ensure punctual, timely and in-full deliveries, in accordance to our standard operating procedures

Ten (10) years’ experience in school bus transportation and five (5) years’ management experience in school bus transportation

Extensive knowledge of all Ministry of Education legislation pertaining to Student Transportation in Ontario

Extensive knowledge and expertise of GIS/Planning

Knowledge of advanced Route Planning Techniques

Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all stakeholders

Extensive leadership abilities with a capacity for strategic planning and business development

10+ years' experience in the design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects, including project management experience.

Leading multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design road and bridge projects for municipal clients as a Project Manager.

Experience working with municipal transportation clients within the Greater Toronto Area.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Hybrid role with 80% remote and up to 20% working onsite at DCs/HQ

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain with focus on inbound and import transportation or procurement
