A minimum of 5+ years of direct experience working in the hotel, real-estate, economic development or tourism sector

Implement an execution plan to achieve our capital markets strategy including internal processes, investor targeting, sell-side relationship building, and management

Engage and develop strong relationships with the investment community, including both the sell-side and buy-side; manage existing and prospective relationships

Has 8+ years prior experience with Investor Relations, including leadership roles and a deep understanding of capital markets

Build and maintain Thinkific’s IR narrative, disclosure documents and KPIs and Engagement plan

Conduct shareholder targeting to identify potential new shareholders, including through ESG targeting, and plan how to engage these prospects

Develop and maintain all investor information with strategies and tactics to improve communication and drive results

Minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience in a role requiring knowledge of OSC rules and regulations and AML/KYC vetting

Exceptional client service and relationship building skills

Assist with client onboarding and account maintenance

Ensure compliance with securities regulations, including OSC rules

Resolve account-specific inquiries with clients

Liaise with the Business Development team for client onboarding and servicing

Prior experience working in finance, banking, or other relevant environments.

Experience engaging with stakeholders, investment managers, and investors.

2+ years of administrative experience supporting executives, preferably in a financial institution, VC fund or start-up company

B.A. in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field – an advantage

Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs – an advantage

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly

Plan and organize investor day, roadshows and identify appropriate industry and financial events that would benefit from senior management team attendance.

Participate as a member of the Disclosure Committee and be involved in MD&A and Financial Statement disclosure discussions with senior management.

Work closely with the legal and communications teams to plan and manage Northland’s Annual Report, and Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

Minimum 7 years prior experience in power and renewables, infrastructure, development or similar business strongly preferred.

Experience in equity research, banking and/or consulting an asset.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling.

Providing investor feedback to management on a regular basis.

3+ years experience as Investor Relations Specialist / Manager

Acting as a key contact point for analysts, product managers, investors, and other external stakeholders.

Degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, or relevant discipline.

Proven working experience in a startup environment.

Experience in digital technologies, preferably AI, RPA, SaaS, Blockchain or Cyber Security

Assist with vendor relationship management, lead requisitions and invoice administration (prior experience with Workday helpful)

Collaborate with and field information requests from other teams within finance, legal and corporate secretary, marketing, and other teams

Able to effectively plan, organize, project manage and operate in a high-profile and dynamic environment with fluid priorities

Undergraduate degree in Finance or commerce / business administration-related field

Ideally: Experience with FactSet (including expertise with Excel plugins), and familiarity with Bloomberg

Assist with research and coordination of information gathering and analysis for internal reporting and external disclosure, including quarterly and ad-hoc requests

A California Driver License is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, Zoom, and legislative management software required.

Knowledge of California’s Fair Political Practices Commission requirements and filing practices.

Manages, develops, and implements the organization’s state legislative portfolio and state legislative relationships.

Manages processes and programs to increase student engagement in committee hearings, bill testimony, and other legislative and budget advocacy related work.

Manages and develops communication strategies on relevant legislative topics.

Manages special student actions, events, and legislative training.

Lead the creation of all key materials to facilitate investor due diligence for fund and co-investment opportunities;

Develop thought leadership around market trends and key industry developments to drive investor interest and support senior executive outreach;

Strengthen fundraising through direct outreach to financial advisors and potential investors, along with the organization of events;

Support with the development of new investment products, and enhancement to existing products to support strategic growth;

Play a leading role in the firm’s ESG efforts including:

Minimum of 2-3 years experience in one or more of the following areas: investor servicing, investor relations, or consulting

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear ability to communicate complex with a wide variety of stakeholders

Interface directly with investors and wealth advisors regarding periodic fund performance updates, requests for investor materials and general inquiries

Support the quarterly investor reporting cycle including investor reports and third party database updates

Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely preparation of materials for investor and diligence requests

Support subscription process and onboarding of new investors

Previous experience in the private lending and/or debt investment space would be an asset.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously through the use of excellent time management and organizational skills

Review and process fund subscription, redemption documents according to funds offering documents and appropriate tax, KYC & AML requirements

Solid capital markets knowledge, equity research or comparable experience

Manage the company website, including updated content and ensure branding across all platforms

Experience working directly with senior executives and senior investment executives

Skilled at communicating across various social media platforms: eg. Twitter, Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hootsuite, etc.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

A post-secondary degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience with FactSet and/or Capital IQ.

Experience in the natural resources sector is a plus.

High-level financial acumen, complemented by strong research and analytical skills.
