Job Description
As an Investor Relations Senior Analyst, you will be a key member of a small, high-performing Investor Relations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investor Relations, you bring strong financial aptitude, solid communication skills, sound judgement, with high attention to detail and a proactive accountability mindset, to support the success of our company’s investor relations function.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Actively support quarterly and annual reporting: contribute to creating and updating disclosure materials; draft “day of reporting” Street analysis and summaries
  • Maintain the TELUS International Investor Relations Website (run on Contentful)
  • Collaborate with and field information requests from other teams within finance, legal and corporate secretary, marketing, and other teams
  • Assist with research and coordination of information gathering and analysis for internal reporting and external disclosure, including quarterly and ad-hoc requests
  • Closely monitor peer disclosure and trading, maintain benchmarking analysis, take interest in keeping abreast of all the peer disclosure and news
  • Manage shareholder meeting calendar records and take / keep meeting notes up to date (utilizing IR CRM – BD Corporate); working with the company’s shareholder surveillance vendor, assist with shareholder base data gathering, analysis and internal reporting, including quarterly and ad-hoc
  • Lead logistics planning for IR marketing (conferences, etc.), including liaison with corporate access teams and organizers at financial institutions, contribute to preparing background briefing notes for executives, and assist with calendar alignment / management
  • Assume proactive role in monitoring, sourcing and gathering Street estimates: for TIXT and peers, including quarterly updates and ad-hoc requests; read sell-side analyst reports, be able to summarize and keep an eye for corrections
  • Write and distribute daily and other regular trading and market / tech sector updates
  • Manage logistics of quarterly releases and other corporate announcements, e.g. book investor call / webcast, issue news release over the wire, etc.
  • Assist with vendor relationship management, lead requisitions and invoice administration (prior experience with Workday helpful)
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed


Skills & Abilities


  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or commerce / business administration-related field
  • Able to effectively plan, organize, project manage and operate in a high-profile and dynamic environment with fluid priorities
  • Demonstrated solid financial aptitude, with research and analytical skills, and good writing skills backed by a strong capacity to listen, observe and synthesize observations from multiple sources
  • Ideally: Experience with FactSet (including expertise with Excel plugins), and familiarity with Bloomberg
  • Nice to haves: Experience with Contentful (website back-end management), BD Corporate (formerly Ipreo), Workday, familiarity with wire news release distribution (Business Wire), webcast platforms (Notified MMC), regulatory filing process on SEDAR / EDGAR
  • Experience of 1-2 years working within an investor relations team of a publicly listed company, or corporate access, equity research or other related capital markets experience
  • From time to time, capacity and ability to work longer hours during critical quarterly reporting preparation periods and special projects
  • IR platforms and tools proficiency:
  • Recognized as a highly proactive individual; willing to take initiative and assume ownership, with a mindset for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • High interest in the technology / IT services sector
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on what is important
  • An eye for / interest in discovering new platforms and ability to learn quickly
  • A must: Google Suite applications (particularly strong comfort with Google Slides) and Microsoft applications (especially strong level of Excel prowess)
