2 years of working experience as an Electrician

Knowledge of Federal/Provincial building codes.

Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with health & safety regulations, procedures and company policies.

Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.

Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.

Perform preventative Maintenance according to specifications, instructions of Maintenance Management.

Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems

Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics

Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.

Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, the building and all of its components.

Design and build electrical panels for machinery.

The candidate should be versed with mechanical aptitude and should have knowledge of stamping and robotic equipment and PLC's.

The candidate should possess strong knowledge of electrical codes and operation of forklift and overhead crane.

The candidate should be able to install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, machinery, and electrical systems.

The candidate should be able to repair and maintain physical structure of facility and perform preventative maintenance and other duties.

The candidate should hold Proof of full Industrial Electrician License or Millwright Mechanic License and relatable certificates.

Responsibilities will include welding, machining, ammonia refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, plastics manufacturing, material handling, PLC, etc.

High School education with valid Electrician License

2-3 Years' experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred

Programming, PLC and HMI Experience required

Minimum of one-year previous electrical experience in a food plant environment

Repair and troubleshooting of our food production equipment with continued attention to preventative maintenance.

Fulfilling any other reasonable duties as required or assigned by Management.

Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, while sharing your knowledge with other maintenance personnel.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within an industrial environment.

Proven experience in performing preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Must have direct experience installing and maintaining:

Must have skills to help train new employees and apprentices

Must be capable of reading & understanding electrical drawings

Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results

Knowledge of plant and equipment operations

Good mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills

Must have experience working with voltages ranging from 24V to 575V, 3 phase

The candidate should have the working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

Should hold previous experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset.

The candidate should be able to execute electrical repairs according to specifications and verbal direction.

Should identify and perform corrective maintenance that could lead to downtime or line stoppage.

The candidate should provide detailed information regarding any required parts or tools that may be required.

Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, VFD’s and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

Replace faulty electrical components of the machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs and able to program automated machinery such as palletizers etc.

Test for malfunctions and verify repairs.

Troubleshoot and/or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
