Adult teaching experience in a post-secondary institution

MGMT 104 Principles of Management

Five years of work experience in a related discipline.

The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education, or a readiness to pursue such a credential.

Previous experience with online and blended delivery methods.

Experience in curriculum development and course design will be considered an asset.

Experience teaching at the post-secondary level; and

Support with the development of International Business Management Program resources and materials.

2 to 3 years of work experience in academic operations/student facing role preferred

Deliver courses relating to: general business, accounting, finance, and HR

Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress within set time frames

Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in Excel and Word, for the Business Productivity Tools and Technology course

Minimum three years of relevant industry experience is preferred

Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: management, accounting, economics, finance, or related fields

Proficient in the use of technology for online teaching, including Zoom and learning management systems

Cover letter outlining your teaching philosophy, areas of expertise, and experience in online education

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Utilize Zoom and other online platforms to deliver live lectures and facilitate discussions.

Prepare course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments

Experience with computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L) is preferred

Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment that supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds and learning styles

Fulfilling responsibilities as defined in the Academic Employees Collective Agreement

Five years of industry experience is required with three years minimum of experience in a senior leadership role required

Minimum one year of adult or post-secondary teaching experience required
