The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Instructors to facilitate courses in Introductory Business, Organizational Behavior and Business Productivity Tools & Technology courses.

Reporting to the Academic Chair, Business Administration, you are a self-starter, a lifelong learner, and have a passion for teaching and inspiring others. You demonstrate excellence in your communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues to create a student-centered learning environment which is pedagogically sound, technically supported, and innovative in nature.

The Role

• Provide ongoing support, guidance and feedback to students in relation to their progress, achievement, professional standards and general welfare
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues teaching the same course to support consistency across sections
• Contribute to advancing the mission and vision of SAIT as being a global leader in applied education
• Maintain records for the purposes of grading and tracking attendance in all classes
• Facilitate and supervise students’ learning in classes, through effective action-based lessons, activities and assessments
• Co-create inclusive, safe, classroom environments that support diverse communities of learners, and positive student experiences
• Evaluate student progress and facilitate student achievement, including responding to emailed inquiries within two business days
• Participate in orientation and training activities as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with curriculum development is an asset
• Previous instructing or facilitating experience at the post-secondary level and/or demonstrated teaching skills in the workplace is an asset
• Minimum Master’s Degree in Business or a related field, for the Introductory Business and Organizational Behavior courses
• Strong network of contacts with other professionals, organizations and employers
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience is preferred
• Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in Excel and Word, for the Business Productivity Tools and Technology course
• Comfortable with creating engaging classroom environments utilizing various delivery modes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as experience leading teams

Hourly range: $43.14 - $49.20
