Solid understanding of data management.

Development of web platforms, requirement gathering and process mapping.

Analytical capabilities, including use of ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS packages such as Network, Spatial and/or 3D Analyst.

Authoring code for the automation of processes and workflows, particularly with knowledge of Python libraries such as arcpy.

Demonstrated initiative and time management skills

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications may be equally considered

A degree in geography, biology, environmental sciences, or natural resources conservation/management

Demonstrated attention to detail, quality assurance, and data management

Experience collecting and managing a variety of geospatial data including designing, developing and managing tabular and spatial databases

Experience in performing spatial analyses, designing, and creating maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software

Strong knowledge and experience in building data pipelines from scratch, including data collection, transformation, and integration.

Fully remote, but preference will be given to candidates located in metro Vancouver.

2-3 years of experience as a Geospatial Data Analyst or in a related field.

Experience with data conversion activities and familiarity with web mapping applications

Work remotely from home if required and use remote access tools to support projects across the country as needed.

Experience of as-built 3D modelling. (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Plant3D, 3DReshaper, Cyclone)

Experience in drafting and feature extraction from point cloud data. (e.g. AutoCAD/Civil3D, CloudWorx, TBC, TopoDot, MicroStation)

Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software in the preparation of survey related plans.

An understanding of the basic principles of surveying and survey plan requirements.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work well under time constraints and meet deliverable targets and deadlines

Advanced knowledge and experience with GIS applications and software such as ArcGIS or QGIS

Responsible for ensuring geospatial mapping requirements for carbon farming projects are met in a compliant, accurate, timely and efficient manner

Work to generate sample plans and detailed sampling locations in accordance with any regulatory requirements

Advanced degree in Agriculture/Environmental/Soil Science or geology/geo-technical with extensive GIS experience preferably in the context of soil and/or soil carbon

Experience with data transfer and layer integration within AGOL

Data governance and data management practices

Tools and methods for reviewing data in relational database management systems including querying, graphing, editing

Communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with management, staff, elected officials and other external stakeholders

Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.

Geospatial (GIS/Big Data) applications, spatial analysis and related geospatial technologies and tools, including programming skills

Strong knowledge of modelling tools, including 3D

Strong organization and time management skills and with the ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.

Able to work remotely from home if required and use remote access tools to support projects across the country as needed.

Process remote sensing survey data using Trimble Business Center, Leica Geosystems and Pix4D.

3 to 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software in the preparation of survey related plans.

An understanding of the basic principles of surveying and survey plan requirements.

Experience with Trimble Business Centre and other survey calculation software.
