Experience working with BC First Nations organizations and communities.

Knowledge of the health and wellness governance landscape in First Nations health in BC, particularly relative to mental wellness.

Knowledge of Aboriginal/First Nations mental wellness health system needs, including mental health and wellness issues that face BC First Nations.

Knowledge Integration: Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.

Experience conducting research and analysis related to land use, resource management, social or economic development issues.

One (1) year of *related work experience*.

Related work experience* must include each of the following, within the past 10 years:

Experience working with First Nations, in a Government-to-Government or community context.

At least one (1) year of experience leading/coordinating consultation/engagement or negotiation with First Nations.

Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

5+ years of food service experience as a first cook preferably in a large remote camp environment.

Ability to manage change effectively

Ability to work away from home in a camp environment.

Red Seal Certification or completion of college or other programs in Culinary Arts preferred.

Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met.

Shares information with appropriate FH staff regarding the experience of individuals with mental health conditions and/or substance use experiences.

Knowledge of First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Indigenous ancestry.

Ability and willingness to share lived experience of substance use or co-occurring substance use and mental illness.

Knowledge of harm reduction principles and activities.

Knowledge of how Indigenous culture impacts the development of individuals and communities.

Knowledge of substance use/mental illness recovery approaches.

Supports operational activities (e.g. inventory management, escalated service requests, following up on customer applications, filing, opening and closing activities).

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:

No prior experience necessary; post-secondary degree or certification in related field of study is desirable.

High-level knowledge of personal, commercial and partner offers, and how each can best serve customers’ individual needs.

Contributes to meeting branch business results and the customer experience.

Manages, loads, and reconciles cash transactions between treasury and various branch units (e.g. CRU).

Post-secondary degree in public administration, Indigenous studies, environmental studies, resource management, or a related field, plus minimum five years of experience

Strong budget management/forecasting; human resource skills including planning; and the ability to develop workplans

Develop and manage workplans, budgets, and reporting requirements

Oversee management of Intergovernmental Relations Coordinator

A knowledgeable manager who understands BC First Nations relations and environmental issues

Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and government relations

Exceptional organization skills to prioritize, manage, and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis

Ensure all new approved credit is aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements and will optimize risk/return over the long term.

Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

Strong programming skills (SAS, SQL, R or Python languages) is an asset

Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.

Execute on data requests accurately within a timely manner.
