Liaising with other departments, including Adult Education, Music, to ensure youth/young family needs are met throughout organizational activities.

Knowledge of French is an asset.

Developing creative Shabbat and Holiday youth programming.

Coordinating Mom & Tot Programs, and working within the young parent demographic to develop network and leadership opportunities.

Working with the local leadership of NCSY to implement effective and inspiring teen programming, and guiding the teen leadership board.

Serving as site supervisor for the Shaar’s Shinshin, the Israeli youth leader who spends a year with our community.

Grade twelve (XII) education or equivalent

Working knowledge of parent-child attachment and early childhood development

Knowledge of and ability to link to community resources that support families, parenting, and optimal childhood growth and development

Minimum of 1-year experience working as a Home Visitor

Previous experience working with families with young children

Demonstrated strong interpersonal & communication skills

Strong computer and social media skills (i.e., Facebook, Zoom, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365 )

Perform duties of basic program support (i.e. filing, caseload admission tracking, creating documents)

Develop materials and resources, gather and organize data, and compile documents

Provides support that enables families to meet their goals, for example, issuing nutrition and/or taxi vouchers

Meets routinely with supervisor /team leader to consult, and/or discuss directions to support home visitors

Perform other duties as required

Able to demonstrate maturity, a positive attitude, and strong conflict management skills

Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk management, family centred, strength based, and solution focused practices/approaches

Experience/knowledge of basic program support (i.e. filing, preapprovals, caseload admission tracking, creating files)

Excellent computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint ) and data entry

Maintain current CPR/First Aid Safety certification

Knowledge of family dynamics and early childhood development

Complete both internal and external checklists, including from the Ministry of Education.

Maintain all requirements of the RECE designation.

Office experience is a strong asset.

Grade XII and Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences or Human Services from an accredited education institution required

One year experience working with or providing services to children and families required

Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

Demonstrates knowledge in the Health Protection Act and other relevant Regulations, Legislation & Acts, specifically the Child and Family Services Act

Additional training in early childhood development an asset

A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (travel will be required)

Experience working with or providing services to children and families

High School diploma or equivalent
