Engineering Professional – Project Engineering Jobs in Alberta

Reviewing project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting functional organization managers and/or subcontractors;

Coordinating efforts of technical disciplines, vendors, and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligations;

Supporting enforcement and/or implementation of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) requirements and initiatives;

Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.

Experience participating in risk assessments initiatives;

Post-secondary education or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management is preferred but not required

Experience in scheduling software (Microsoft Project is preferred) and construction management software (Hard Dollar and Viewpoint) would be an asset

Review, audit, and correct incoming cost and schedule data for all assigned projects

Provide consolidated internal and external financial reports in accordance with defined timelines.

Monitoring project cashflow and generating/reviewing invoices for submittal to clients.

Review project contracts and ensure compliance for all cost and scheduling data

With guidance from engineering management is able to Analyze QFD FEA FMEA DOE VA/VE and DFM/DFA as required

Developing communication skills verbal and written

Developing organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines

Consults and collaborates with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirements

Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from accredited university

Proficient with word processing spreadsheet and database applications

Project Management experience would be an asset.

Engineering degree or experience a huge plus

Weekly meetings with local and district teams

Understanding expectations and producing results on productivity, quality, safety, costs

Hiring, managing and coordinating field teams

General knowledge of terminology related to project management and power system engineering policies and procedures.

Customer service focus supported by solid organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize numerous projects and competing demands.

Ability to apply judgment in determining appropriate procedures and requirements for various distribution projects.

Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, SAP and AM/FM.

Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; this includes good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills

The position would be based in Calgary, Alberta

Conducting research and analysis of biomechanical effects of accidents and injuries

Analyzing injury risks associated with motor vehicle collisions and other accidents

Collaborating with engineers and scientists to verify information

Presentation of work to clients
